Why ErgenOS

Arch power without the rough edges.

ErgenOS keeps the flexibility of a rolling system while making installation, updates and recovery easier to understand.

01

Recover with confidence

Automatic Btrfs snapshots surround package transactions. If an update goes wrong, boot an earlier system state from GRUB.

02

Manage software and drivers visually

ErgenPac brings Arch repositories, optional Chaotic-AUR sources and Flathub together, while Driver Manager detects missing graphics and processor packages.

03

Ready from first login

A welcome portal, sensible defaults and a graphical installer get you from the live USB to your own desktop quickly.

Built around recovery

Experiment freely.
There is a way back.

01Before update02Pacman transaction03After update

Snapper, snap-pac and grub-btrfs work together to make system snapshots a normal part of using ErgenOS, not an emergency afterthought.

Secure Boot: ErgenCTL now provides guided post-install setup using Microsoft-signed shim and a Machine Owner Key. See the Secure Boot setup guide.

Is ErgenOS a gaming distribution?
