History
House Challinder is a noble family that carries seawater in their veins alongside their blood. They govern the port of Direshore, the largest trading port in the duchy, as well as in Venris. It was founded during the time of Old Antadour when the legendary Captain Challinder, navigating the royal corvette through a storm and pirate attack, managed to save the then-king of Antadour. In return for his services, Captain Challinder was granted a knighthood and fertile land by the Granite Sea, where Direshore stands today. The current leader of the family is Lord Berthron Challinder, who commands the duchy's defense fleet. The anchor from Captain Challinder's ship has been preserved as a family heirloom and remains the crest of this proud house to this day.
