Backstory

Elathir Timbervale’s story begins in the enigmatic Feywild, a realm of wonder and mystery. Though his parents’ identities and reasons remain shrouded in secrecy, his birth there marked him as something extraordinary. The Feywild left its mark on him—small antlers sprouted from his head, a testament to his mystical origins. But this strange and magical beginning was cut short when, as an infant, he was abandoned in the southern continent of Mansdon.

A local druidic grove found him and took him in, becoming his new family. The druids named him Elathir and raised him in harmony with the wilds of Mansdon’s verdant landscapes. From an early age, it was clear that Elathir’s Feywild roots granted him abilities that surpassed even the most seasoned members of the grove. He could calm raging storms, commune with animals on a profound level, and channel the untamed forces of nature with ease.

Though gifted, Elathir often found himself questioning the grove’s rigid doctrines. The elders preached a philosophy of non-intervention, believing that nature must be allowed to take its course—even if that meant allowing destruction and death. Elathir, however, could not reconcile this with his innate empathy. To him, the sanctity of life was paramount, and nature’s beauty was in its balance, not in unchecked chaos.

The breaking point came when a small village near the grove faced annihilation from an out-of-control wildfire. The elders forbade intervention, declaring it the will of nature, but Elathir defied them. Risking his life, he summoned a torrential rainstorm to quench the flames, saving countless villagers. While the villagers hailed him as a hero, the grove saw his actions as betrayal. The elders branded him an outcast, banishing him from Mansdon forever.

Heartbroken but resolute, Elathir boarded the first ship out of the port city, not caring where it would take him. His journey led him to Cite de Venris, a bustling metropolis where the stark contrast between nature and civilization tested his beliefs further. It was there that he crossed paths with Ergenos and Darrig, who shared his yearning for purpose and justice. The three were united by fate when a group of gargoyles began terrorizing the city. Together, they hunted and vanquished the creatures, forging a bond that neither time nor distance could break.

Now, Elathir walks a path of his own making, blending the lessons of the Feywild, the grove, and his own heart. His antlers mark him as different, and his presence carries the otherworldly essence of his birthplace. Though he bears the scars of exile, he is a steadfast protector of life, determined to heal the wounds of the world—and, perhaps, his own.
