Mandate
The Eye of Saquirius is a faction within the Mage’s Association. Its knights hunt rogue spellcasters whose misuse of magic threatens others, confront extraplanar beings and teach the dangers of abusing the arcane arts. Their authority depends on recognition by states and the agreements in force.
Structure
Highlord Antharn Exetren leads the order. He and the Knight-Captains form the Allseeing Council, its highest judicial body. Inquisitors and Knight-Lieutenants oversee adherence to the order’s principles.
Recruits enter as Initiates. Those who pass the trials of ability and devotion become Acolytes, training under experienced Knights before attaining knighthood. The order numbers approximately one thousand Knights and another thousand Initiates in training, combining martial skill with knowledge of the arcane arts.
Public Agenda
The Eye describes its mission as preserving balance and promoting the responsible use of magic. It seeks to protect Lurra from magical threats and prevent the abuses that can endanger the realms.
History
The order was founded after the Planemeld, when the misuse of arcane magic caused a catastrophe across the realms. Its founders sought to repair the damage and restore balance. That purpose remains central to the order’s place within the Mage’s Association.
Jurisdiction
The Eye has no automatic right to enter another country or enforce its rules throughout Lurra. Recognition and agreements determine where it may act, even when it is pursuing a magical threat.
