Backstory
In the radiant city of Cahaserin, beneath the shadow of his lineage, Dethrann Lightstrider was birthed under the Arcane Star alongside his twin, Duleth. As descendants of Lord Althann Lightstrider, the eldest high elf of Lurra, the weight of heritage bore heavily upon them. Leadria, their elder sister, delved into the arcane's most enigmatic depths, while General Erdreth, Lord Althann's eldest marshaled legions with unyielding might. In contrast, Duleth's eloquence and Dethrann's innate spiritual magnetism saw them steer towards diplomacy. Duleth swiftly ascended in the ranks, cementing alliances and mending age-old rifts, while Dethrann would eventually serve in the esteemed courts of the entire elven kingdom.
During his formative years, Dethrann experienced a celestial vision that forever marked his destiny. As dreamscape and reality blended, he found himself amidst the ethereal beauty of the Planemeld Relict Forest, where the boundaries between the spiritual and physical realms seemed to blur. Before him stood a citadel of luminous crystal beneath an ever-twilight sky. From its opulent gates, a figure clad in golden light emerged—none other than Saquirius, the god of magic. The deity's voice resonated like a haunting melody, "In the lineage of stars, thine spirit thrums a song unlike the rest; a song of unity, of connection. Within thee, I glimpse the confluence of realms. Embrace my will, young Lightstrider, and in Lurra, be the nexus." The dawn found a drowsy Dethrann cradling a pendant engraved with Saquirius' emblem, and he knew his path was divinely ordained.
Heeding this ethereal directive, Dethrann consulted Cahaserin's wise seers. They intimated about a hidden temple in the heart of the Planemeld Relict Forest, where mortal met divine. The path to the temple was a mosaic of tests—phantasmagoric illusions, confronting one’s deepest insecurities, and echoes of bygone eras. The temple's Chamber of Ascension offered a poignant trial: a sacrifice for divine communion. With unwavering resolve, Dethrann relinquished his titles and wealth, binding himself singularly to Saquirius' divine energy. His sacrifice was met with unmatched gifts—powers of high elven clerics.
As Dethrann treaded the temple's innermost sanctums, he encountered the ethereal guardian of a bygone elven hero. Recognizing Dethrann's divine purpose, the spirit gifted him with an ancient mithral half-plate. Additionally, resting amidst age-old runes was the Lightstrider family's treasured longsword, “Celethor’s Whisper.” Forged in elven lands long lost to time and resonating with tales from epochs past, it was said to be of ancient arvisian craftsmanship.
Presently, Dethrann’s prowess in diplomacy is unmatched within the halls of the Duchy of Antadon. His aura, however, extends beyond the chambers of negotiation. Under his protective gaze is Ergenos, the young half-elf offspring of his older sister. A blend of worlds—both elven and human, Ergenos finds in Dethrann not just a mentor, but a beacon guiding him through the maze of his own dual legacy.
